Assessments
An initial assessment will be conducted at the beginning of therapy. It will typically include an interview and standardised measures and it might involve input from different sources (e.g., individual, parent, teacher, etc.). Progress will be monitored throughout treatment to gather effectiveness in achieving therapy goals.
Individual Therapy
Standard sessions are 50 min. They are person centred and aim to focus on evidence-based strategies tailored to work on the individual’s goals. Age-appropriate approaches such as play therapy are available for children.
Autism Diagnostic Assessments
We work collaboratively with families, other professionals and use our standardised measures such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). The ADOS is a semi-structured, standardised assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviours. It is used for diagnosing and assessing autism.
Learning & Cognitive Assessments
We use a range of standardised assessments to identify learning difficulties and disorders. We also work closely with families, health professionals and schools to determine underlying neurodevelopmental strengths, weaknesses and disorders and to provide appropriate treatment.
Assessment Reports
Specific reports are available on request with assessment analyses and practical recommendations to support individuals in their different environments including home, school, workplace and the wider community.
